If you need a package to arrive quickly or by a certain date in a foreign country, you should consider using Global Express Guaranteed® (GXG), the U.S. Postal Service’s premium international mail service. GXG is a joint venture between the U.S. Postal Service and FedEx® Corporation to offer guaranteed, time-definite service to international destinations. Since delivery in the foreign country is done by the FedEx network, the service can be ideal for shipment to countries that have unreliable postal infrastructures. There can also be fewer chances of delays with customs clearance being handled directly by a local FedEx branch.

There are a few important things to know regarding USPS's Global Express Guaranteed® (GXG) method with regard to real-time rates. First, that method is not available from all Ship From Postal Codes. Consult the USPS website to see if that method is available from your Postal Code. Second, that method does require package dimensions to accurately quote rates. A package must be large enough to affix the Global Express Guaranteed Mailing Label to the face of the item (approx. 5.5" in height and 9.5" in length). Total length and girth must not exceed 108 inches. Individual dimensions must not exceed:

Length = 46 inches

Width = 35 inches

Height = 46 inches

Hence, it is important to define package sizing (Settings/Edit Compatible Software/Online Shipping Tools Preferences/). Number of Packages must be greater than 0. On the following screen (Next >>) you can define the package dimensions either by weight or quantity. Make sure the package dimensions are with the Global Express Guaranteed® guidelines.
