The Integration FTP is a free file hosting solution offered by TrueCommerce that utilizes Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) designed to transfer your Flat-Files between your Business System and Transaction Manager

The Integration FTP allows for a single transfer spot for your files hosted through a TrueCommerce maintained cloud storage solution that Transaction Manager can access around the clock.

Unlike local system directories, a Cloud Integrated FTP solution removes the need for Transaction Manager need to access your server or a client workstation directly, allowing for Scheduled Events to run continually without fear of interruption from Server reboots, updates, and or maintenance on your end.

The Integration FTP is a file hosting solution using a standard File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server. As such an external application is required in order to view the files directly. TrueCommerce recommends a simple free program such as FileZilla for most small to medium volume customers.

For large-volumes you may wish to look into an Enterprise level FTP solution such as SmartFTP Enterprise.

FileZilla is a 3rd-party free to use FTP Client not affiliated with TrueCommerce that has the basic needed functionality to log into the Integration FTP. Work with your I.T Department to determine whether or not FileZilla meets your company's needs.

With a Cloud Flat File solution - files are stored remotely on a Cloud-based File Transfer Protocol (FTP) Server known as the Integration FTP. This is essentially a folder directory much like on your local machine that can be remotely accessed by Transaction Manager, the TrueCommerce Support Team, as well as your company without requiring direct access to your network or machine.

Since the Integration FTP is simply a cloud hosted folder for all your transactions it will behave also much like a regular directory on your machine. Files are moved into these directories as a copy of the original by uploading them either from Transaction Manager or your Business System leaving the original file intact.

From there, any application that needs access to be granted permission to this folder through user credentials allowing it to download, read, or remove files directly.

In order to ensure fast and efficient operations files stay within the Integration FTP folders for 7-days. After which any files older than 7-days is automatically deleted to prevent a build up of unused files which can slow the system down.

It is recommended to keep local backups of your files on your own local server as you would with traditional local based Flat File integrations.

Cloud Flat Files are transferred utilizing what's known as a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) client. It's a specialized application that handles uploading/downloading the files directly between the TrueCommerce hosted FTP and your local system.

Transaction Manager has a built in FTP Client - whenever you Export/Import the system will automatically connect to the Integration FTP server and read/write the files as necessary.

Connecting to the Integration FTP from your machine is a simple setup that can be done by your I.T Department, or VAR (if your Business System supports FTP). It is recommended that you speak to your I.T Department to discuss what the best options may be.

However, for simple manual operations - TrueCommerce often utilizes FileZilla as a simple free FTP Client. For large volumes, you may wish to look into Enterprise level FTP Client solutions such as SmartFTP.
